Rich Lindros / Founder

Rich Lindros was born and raised in Massapequa, NY where his love for baseball began. His father Wesley Lindros loved the Yankees and passed his love for baseball on to his son.

After serving his country as a Marine during the Vietnam war, Rich moved to Washington State. Rich served as an Edmonds Police Officer after the military and quickly began coaching baseball in the area. Rich coached little league, select, high school and collegiate baseball before ending his long career of mentoring ball players at Northwest Christian High School in Lacey, WA. Even as his coaching started to wind down, Rich became interested in the Mental Game involved in baseball and commonly put on training classes through Diamond Sports in Puyallup.

Rich opened Brooklyn Baseball Club in Lynnwood, WA in 1996 when he decided that youth in the community needed affordable opportunities for training and competitive tournament play. Rich later moved the business to Yakima where he spent years mentoring youth in the valley. In his final years, Rich moved back to Olympia, WA where he was able to spend time helping coach his two grandsons Wesley and Oscar.

Rich loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, and always told stories about growing up in New York. Rich would talk about how ball players would be seen in the neighborhoods at times playing stick ball and interacting with kids. Rich always believed that by using his love for the game of Baseball and the Brooklyn Dodgers, he could impact his community in a positive way by coaching and mentoring at his Brooklyn Baseball Club.

Rich Lindros, (Grandpa Baseball) passed in 2021 and is survived by his wife Lori and his son Sean. 24/20
