Sean Lindros

President / Manager

Sean Lindros was born and raised in Lynnwood, WA where he remained through High School. Sean has played baseball for as long as he can remember, and commonly credits lessons that he learned through baseball as helping him become the man he is today.

Sean played little league, select, high school and part of a summer collegiate season before his career as a player came to an end. While playing and being part of a team was always the best part of baseball for Sean, he realized quickly that he enjoyed helping others learn the game and be successful. Through high school and college, Sean basically grew up in the Brooklyn Baseball Club started by his father. If he wasn’t putting in work on his game, he was teaching younger players, helping coach select baseball and learning the game even better while doing so. Sean credits his baseball knowledge and training style to his years helping the younger ballplayers at the Brooklyn Baseball Club. Sean describes his coaching style as committed to player development through individualized training. Sean understands while principles of success remain the same, techniques used must be fitted the individual being trained.

Sean also understands that life outside of baseball comes first. You will commonly hear Sean ask his players “what is more important than baseball?” The response he teaches his players is simply this: Family, School then Baseball. Sean wants his players to understand that although they can be good at baseball, if they fail at being good with family or at school their baseball talent doesn’t matter.

Sean has been in the Olympia area for 16 years where he serves as a Police Officer. Sean has coached at Capitol Little League for 6 years after his sons were old enough to play. Prior to that Sean coached at Northwest Christian High School for 5 years which culminated in the schools first ever Baseball State Championship.

After his fathers passing, Sean was contacted by a multitude of people in the Lynnwood and Yakima area who mourned his passing and shared stories of how he touched their lives. Seeing the huge impact his father had, Sean decided to honor his father by re-opening Brooklyn Baseball as an Academy in the Olympia area. Sean chose to use the “Bums” name as a reference to his fathers love for the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers. In honor of his father, The Brooklyn Baseball Academy “Bums” program will focus on mentoring young ball players, teaching them the love of the game and having fun while doing it.
